Deliverables: Three instructor-led modules to meet identified
competencies for supervisors and managers.
Project
Overview
Kaiser
Permanente (KP) is an integrated managed care organization and is the
largest managed care organization in the United States. The Leadership
and Management team identified core competencies for supervisors and
managers. The knowledge and skills for these competencies were
delivered by 4-hour instructor-led training courses.
Michele B. Medved
interviewed Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to obtain KP examples, case
studies, policies and procedures for three management-training
modules. Using models from Interaction Associates, Medved created
workbooks, learning resources, and comprehensive facilitator’s guides
for each module.
Deliverables: Quick reference guides, SOX 101 web-based training,
Control owner (BC and ITGC) web-based training, and knowledge
management strategy to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX)
regulations.
Project
Overview
Toyota
Motor Corporation is a multinational corporation headquartered in
Japan, and is currently the world's largest automaker.
The Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) Act of
2002 provides guidelines to prevent fraud, ensure accurate financial
statements, and protect shareholders through executive accountability.
The SOX act applies to SEC-registered companies, including Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC).
Michele B. Medved,
working with the SOX implementation team, developed materials to
introduce SOX to employees and ensure compliance with its regulations.
She developed quick reference guides to prepare employees at
dealerships for compliance testing. She also wrote two web-based
training modules to prepare business and ITGC control owners to test
and maintain their control. She developed a knowledge management
strategy to ensure ongoing compliance with SOX regulations.
Deliverable: Web-based new hire training for employees in remote
offices.
Project
Overview
Western
Federal Credit Union
is a member-owned financial cooperative. Western is one of the
nation's leading credit unions with over $1 billion in assets and over
119,000 members across the country.
Michele B. Medved
analyzed the training needs for new hires. She then designed and
developed a web-based training course. This course used Bingo, web
treasure hunts and quizzes to engage new hires and introduce them to
Western Federal Credit Union.
Deliverable: Fraud and abuse web-based training for all associates.
Project
Overview
WellPoint,
Inc. is a large, U.S.-based health insurance company and the largest
member of the BlueCross BlueShield Association.
Michele B. Medved
developed the script for a two-hour WBT for all WellPoint associates.
She worked closely with SMEs to identify three audiences (tracks) for
fraud and abuse training across WellPoint. She then developed
scenarios and checklists for recognizing and responding to fraud, for
all three tracks. Final questions tested the application of knowledge,
per track, to typical scenarios in recognizing and responding to
fraud.
